On April 2, 2014, around 4 PM shots rang out on the base of Fort Hood.  Less than an hour later, Angel Arroyo got a knock at her door-it was her husband's captain, and her heart sank.  Find out why.

In 1999, Johnny Rose, a Deputy Sheriff in Granbury Texas, responded to a call about a man threatening to kill his wife. When he and another deputy got there, the man had fled into the woods, but returned and pointed something at them. The officers shot and killed him, but later discovered he was only holding a large stick. Johnny dealt with anger and PTSD for years. It destroyed his marriage and affected his work until he finally surrendered it to Christ and asked him to come into his heart.

You may not realize it from watching the news, where stories of cops shooting civilians flood the airwaves, but the average police officer never fires his weapon in the line of duty at all during his whole career.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with Deputy Johnny Rose.  He shot and killed a suspect while on assignment... and the nightmare of that moment haunted him for years.
